Inspiring Teachers Conferred President’s Awards

When nominations for the annual President’s Award for Teachers opened this year, MOE was inundated by over 4,500 entries from principals, teachers, students, parents and former students. In total, 1,320 teachers from 194 schools were nominated.
After a rigorous selection process, four teachers were singled out for their passion, courage and perseverance to inspire and nurture young people. On 30 August 2007, each of them was conferred the President’s Award for Teachers - the highest accolade in the teaching profession. - Inspired by Art, Inspiring through Art - Mdm Norlita bte Marsuki, Sembawang Secondary School
- A Simple Thank-you Suffices - Mr Yeo Leng Quee, Peirce Secondary School
